Fashionable Golf Chair

I can hardly believe I'm saying this, but I have fallen in love with the chair in this picture which is decorated with golf themed fabric. Has Ryan's love of the game finally worn off on me? Nah.....I still think it's a great chair, the fact that it incorporates his favorite past time is just an added bonus. This chair is on sale at one of my favorite stores called Making Ends Meet in Shelbyville - it's a wonderful place to get fabrics and upholstered furniture.

Purse Envy

Let me just say how much I love this Fendi purse - in a dream world I would snatch it up in 10 different colors. Alas, I don't live in a dream world but right here on earth, which means I could never justify spending $1200 on a purse!! (And that's the "deal" rate from Bluefly!). A girl can dream, though......

Color Splash on HGTV

I tried to do something tonight that I never thought I would - apply to be on a television show. A little background...I am addicted to the HGTV channel. Design Star is a show on HGTV where ten or so aspiring interior decorators compete and the designer who wins gets their very own TV show on the channel. I did not watch the first season of Design Star, but I love the show that is hosted by the winner of the first Design Star contest - it's called Color Splash and the designer is David Bromstad. With a design team, he basically goes to the homes of various individuals and makes over one of their rooms - there has not been one room I have not liked that David has done. I was catching a rerun today and thought, hell, why don't we sign up?? I threw the idea out to Ryan and he did not have any objections. I later looked up the show on HGTV to apply(I know, I'm such a geek), only to discover that (A) Color Splash is not currently taping, and (B) you basically have to live in New York City, Philadelphia or San Francisco to have your home picked for the show....damn. I guess I'm on my own in throwing some look together for our den.

How I love Anthropologie....

I so, so wish there was an Anthropologie store in Louisville. . .I keep hearing rumors that we are getting one, but I won't hold my breath. For now, I'll simply have to admire their wares from the comfort of my office while perusing their site on my computer. Here's a dress I would absolutely love to get (it has kelly green in it, my favorite!), as well as a fantastic outfit with wide leg jeans. Hallelujah, I think the straight leg jean craze is slowly fading out - as a curvy girl, I could never jump on that bandwagon.
