American Gangster

My sister got into town from Boston on Saturday and is leaving to head on to Las Vegas today. I am very thankful we got an opportunity to hang out some this weekend and just catch up on all the crazy things going on in our lives.

On Sunday, we went to see American Gangster, starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. I'd heard great reviews about the movie before going to see it - with those two Oscar-winning stars, I couldn't imagine it being bad. We were definitely not disappointed, it was a fantastic movie! It was long - about 2 hours and 45 minutes, which is a long time for anyone to sit in a movie theater, especially a pregnant woman - but well worth it. The fact that it is based on a true story made it that much more interesting. I'm going on record right now to say that Denzel will win another Oscar for that performance!

My sister was just telling me about this movie. She said it was SO good and definitely a must-see. Of course I have no idea when I could possibly have 2 hours and 45 minutes of uninterrupted time, but I'll rush right out to rent the movie when I do! She gave me the synopsis of it and it does sound very intriguing.
