I haven't watched MTV in years, so I didn't see the Video Music Awards hosted by the network this past weekend, but I did see the big news of the evening on Monday morning's broadcast of the Today show. After last year's horrifying debacle, is it possible that Britney Spears - gasp - has redeemed herself?? She actually looked somewhat normal - not dazed, drunk and speaking in a fake British accent, not flashing her obvious lack of underwear to the paparazzi while exiting a vehicle, but actually normal. I hope she continues on this trend - good for her!

I didn't watch it either but please tell me how she got 3 awards? For what? I'm all for giving her an award for being normal but I wasn't aware that was a category.
On a similar note, I hate country music, but have you heard Jessica Simpson's new cd? They played blurbs of 2 different songs on the radio yesterday and I actually liked them. Look out, the world must be coming to an end since I used the words like and country music in the same sentence!
