I just subscribed to Garden and Gun. I hope I get this issue first! The first picture is beautiful with that wrap around porch. Is that one of the restaurants? i'd love to take my mom there.

i think you'll love it! i'm still partial to southern living, but g&g runs a close second. my husband even likes flipping through the magazine.

isn't that picture amazing?? that is a picture of the exterior of corbett's - HIGHLY recommend it. we've been there to eat twice now and it really is one of the best meals i've had in louisville. it is a very old southern mansion that was renovated by a well known local chef and opened a couple of years ago. the interior is just as gorgeous - both times we've been there we have eaten in the original brick and limestone wine cellar, which is very cool.

how awesome is that porch, though? reminds me of a coastal home in south carolina. i would love to have a wrap-around porch like that with some hammocks to laze about in!

I'll second your love of Corbett's. Seriously some of the best meals I've had in this state! I also have to give a nod to 610 Magnolia. Although overpriced, the food and experience were amazing.

I'm intrigued by this magazine, so I'm going to have to check it out. I remember you mentioning it before but I've never seen a copy of it in any store.

Gorgeous, that first photo in particular! I've only briefly been in & out of Louisville and can't wait to go back.

I also need to investigate this G&G magazine; keep hearing good things about it.

My issue of "Garden & Gun" arrived yesterday, too, and I was thrilled to see the Louisville article! We were at Jack Fry's last week - best filet ever! And, I loved the article about the "Old Fashioned" one of my all-time favorite cocktails. Hubby is a huge Pappy Van Winkle bourbon fan, so I highly recommend it.
