So...my little bean is 12 weeks! We had an ultrasound this week and got to hear his or her heartbeat for the first time, which I believe is just the loveliest sound in the world. He/she jumped around some during the ultrasound, and just like that, I was transported back to 3 years ago during my pregnancy with Alexandra. It really is amazing how time flies. Alexandra started her "big girl class" at daycare this week, and now plays on a new playground (the "big playground" she explains to me with eyes as big as saucers) and eats breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria with her class. I dropped her off a little late at daycare yesterday morning and left her with her friends in the cafeteria, eating Cheerios. I found myself standing in the doorway, just watching her - and then cried on my way to work. I can't believe she is getting SO big! Man am I in trouble when she is ready for kindergarten, if I am getting this worked up over the cafeteria!
Wanted to leave you with a picture of the little bean (which Alexandra has already named with a REAL name, not just Elmo or Mickey Mouse or something like that. We will see if the baby ends up getting the name his or her big sister picked out.). This is a 3-D scan at 12 weeks - I know it's difficult to tell parts, but the baby is facing the screen. I labeled the various parts, but I know even that probably won't help!

I'm off to Little Rock this afternoon for a deposition...have a wonderful weekend!

Little Rock?!?! You are just a few hours South of me! We could meet for lunch! Well if I didn't have 2 screaming kiddos that don't know how to act, we could!
Oh, I do hope that you feel better soon! It's hard enough to tackle every day life WITHOUT sickness!
I love your baby updates. I loved being pregnant and soaked up each pregnancy! Each baby is so different and amazing in his/her own way. What an awesome experience!
And...when Emily went to kindergarten, I cried for 8 days! It was horrible! I missed her so much! This was the first year I didn't cry....but Laney goes to kinder next year, so I will be a mess again. They just seem so little and I want to be with them all the time! Yep, I'm bad!
Have a great weekend!
Awww that sono picture is so cute! Such a blessing. I totally know what you mean when you say time flies!! We just celebrated Kayla's 1st birthday and it brought me back memories of Austin's first! Can't believe he is 6 and going in to first grade!!
Oh I just LOVE ultrasound photos!

Praying you get to feeling better soon friend! Praying too that the test results come back just fine on your thyroid and no extra steps are needed! Love seeing the picture of your little bundle of sweetness growing inside you! Sweetest pic ever and the heartbeat is the best sound in the world!!
Congrats! So happy for you. I so know the yucky sickness all too well...so I feel for you! Hope that you'll be turning a corner soon. BYW, love your post earlier on makeup. I'm a recovering make-up junkie... I'm trying so hard to not buy more before I NEED it. That said, 6 out of 9 things on that list are on my list of faves too. We are so on the same wave. xo
Although I've missed your blog, I completely understand why you've been away... you're one busy mama! Hope you get feeling better soon!
Awh so exciting! Can't wait to find out the sex.
Hearing the baby's heartbeat is always music to a momma's ears! Love that you call your little one to be "little bean". That's what we called Gillian Grace in the beginning...it sort of stuck too since one of our nicknames is now Gillybean! Hope you have a great weekend! So glad things are going well, well minus the nausea.
:)
Isn't that the most amazing site in the world? Sorry to hear that your morning sickness is lingering. Mine did, too, and they prescribed me Zofran. That stuff is gold, I tell you!
Got your note about seeing me in the parking lot at daycare - sorry I missed you! Hopefully we'll run into each other soon! It's so weird now picking one child up at daycare and the other at kindergarten aftercare. A whole new world!
baby-baby looks perfect in every way already!!! thanks for sharing the ultrasound pic - it's a miracle i tell ya!
good luck to A as she transitions (beautifully it seems) to her new class. it's so dang hard to see them eating and playing like big kids. doesn't seem possible!!!
feel better soon!
That ultrasound image is incredible! Maybe I've just gotten a little better at looking at them but I could actually tell what I was looking at.
I got a little emotional dropping Colin off at his new school this week too. I asked my mom if it ever got easier and she said no. Of course yours is magnified right now with all your crazy hormones.
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday if you aren't too jet-lagged!
Oh, how very adorable to see the ultrasound! Yes, a new baby's heartbeat is an amazing sound. I too cried when my daughter started preschool. This year my son starts the twos program...I've already cried that my "baby" is going to school and it hasn't even started yet! Best of luck to you.
what a great ultrasound image--so darling! hope you start feeling better--that is so miserable~ caleb is just about to start kindergarten, so i am with ya!
hope you are feeling much better and wish you lots of great health all the way through the rest of your pregnancy
I love ultrasound pictures! What a cute little bean. Hope your m/s is going away as you enter your 2nd trimester! Has this pregnancy been similar to your pregnancy with A?
Hope you are feeling better since you are in your second trimester. We are in the process of moving so I haven't been online much. Trying to catch up with every one. Have a great holiday weekend.
Congrats on being 12 weeks along, that is so exciting! I love the sonogram picture--he/she looks like their waving. Hope you had a good trip in Little Rock!
Wow! Thanks for sharing the 3-D image. I hope you start feeling better soon.
