Well, you could have knocked me over with a feather – our alma mater, the University of Kentucky Wildcats, defeated #1 seed Ohio State on Friday night to make it to the Elite Eight. What a barn burner that game was!!! Our household will be sitting on the edge of our seats on Sunday night when we take on North Carolina for a Final Four bid. The littlest member of our family will be wearing these festive socks for good luck. GO CATS!!!!!
On a random tangent, the most recent issue of Entertainment Weekly was in our mailbox this afternoon with my favorite vampire on the cover, talking about life after Twilight and the upcoming feature film “Water for Elephants” (I cannot wait for this movie, I just adored the book and am hopeful this cast will make a great film).
The mag contained a book review of “Sweet Valley Confidential” – basically a look at the Sweet Valley High gang 10 years after graduation.
If you are a woman of a certain age – as I know many of you who read my blog are – Sweet Valley Twins and Sweet Valley High were a part of your adolescence (along with The Babysitters Club!). Almost every female I know my age has read at least one of these books. Kind of makes me curious how Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield ended up!!

Oh my goodness, I loved SVH and just found all of my books last summer. My parents had kept them for me. I can't bear to part w/them, even though I'm sure my 3 boys won't be reading them ;) I must read that book!
My mom kept some of my Babysitter's Club books and recently gave them too me! Fun! And ahhhh...Edward! I cannot wait until Nov. when the next movie comes out. My parents recently watched TWILIGHT. They thought I was nuts for loving it so much, but they did take home movie #2! :) And...how presh are those little feet?????
Wow! I had not heard about the new Sweet Valley High I will have to check it out.
I am loving this post.
First- Heck to the YES for a nailbiter win over OSU! GO CATS!
Second-I just started reading Water for Elephants. It's hard to get into (I'm only on like Chapter 4....) but I'm waiting for some excitement!
Third- I think I read every book from SVH (and Babysitter's Club). I think that was the only reason I wanted to be a twin. Loved them!
Great post! Happy weekend, and good luck to our Cats today!
As a Gator, I'm not sure I'm allowed to think those lil' socks are cute, but oh my heavens...adorableness!
And a new SVH book?!?! I am going to have to chase it down!
O.M.G. I can't wait for those books. I LOVED the Sweet Valley girls!

2. I read Water For Elephants earlier this year and LOVED it. Can't wait for the movie.
