Louisville Dining Originals
Last night, Ryan and I shared an incredible meal for our 2nd anniversary at Equus, a local restaurant in St. Matthews that we could have literally walked to from our home. I can't get over how spoiled we are by the wealth of fantastic restaurants in Louisville - we have not had a bad experience yet at any restaurant we've been to. The problem is we'll have a great meal, vow to come back again, but then realize that we have dozens of more restaurants to try! There is a great website that lists many of Louisville's top-notch restaurants: http://www.louisvilleoriginals.com/. It's a must have resource for great dining in Derby city.

Wes took me there for either my birthday or an anniversary one year. We agree with you that it is fabulous! I saw on Robin Garr's website that the owner(s) are going to opening another restaurant sometime soon but it will have a different name. Wes and I have the same issues you do with saying you'll be back but then realizing there are too many other good restaurants to go back to one twice before trying them all! We recently ate at a tapas restaurant in Holiday Manor shopping center called Mojito and in typical Louisville restaurant fashion, it was wonderful! Not to mention we ate at Lynn's for breakfast that same morning! This never ending eating is what you have to look forward to! I'm never full anymore.

Fantastic restaurants and shops -- I swear, I do hope Lexington is lucky enough to get a Pottery Barn. We are actually planning a trip to Louisville just to vist the PB -- got lots of exchanging and returning to sort out from the wedding!
Oh and *yeah* on the ultra-sound. That's so exciting! Have you bought any maternity clothes yet?
Hey Danielle,
Interesting....I wonder where this other restaurant will be and what kind of food? We'll all have to try it out! I'm glad you liked Mojito's - I tried to get in there with a friend on a Thursday night and it was over an hour wait! I've heard Lynn's is great, too - see, there are way too many to try out (a good problem, nonetheless!). We need to coordinate another group dinner here sometime soon.
Kristy,
I know, I agree - all we need here in Louisville is an Anthropologie and we would be set! Rumor is that we are going to get one but I'll believe it when I see it. Enjoy that post-honeymoon trip to Pottery Barn. I remember when we went back to do some exchanging and buying - I was like a kid in a candy store!
The ultrasound was pretty exciting - needless to say, that is an experience I will not soon forget. I haven't had to do the maternity clothes thing yet. So far, all my clothes are still fitting but that probably won't be the case too much longer. On the plus side, maternity clothes are somewhat more fashionable than they used to be, but one negative is that they are extremely expensive!
