anticipating auntie's arrival
my younger sister, rachel, is coming up to visit us - okay, really she wants to visit alexandra! - this weekend, and we couldn't be more excited about it. unfortunately, rachel hasn't gotten to see alexandra much since she was born - i think we tallied up only 3 or 4 times. of course, everyone involved wished that they could see one another more often, but that's what happens when life gets involved (rachel is a very busy 2nd year resident in boston). i think she'll be surprised to see how much alexandra has grown since her last visit four months ago - check out the pictures below, what do you think?

okay, since this post i have sat here in shock for about 5 minutes because i cannot believe how different she looks between these two pictures!! seriously, i'm sitting here slack-jawed. i see her everyday so the change is much more gradual for me, and i've never sat down and looked at two pictures side by side like that. my baby is growing up, i wish i could slow it down!!
I know what you mean. When I go back and look at Colin's baby pictures, it doesn't even look like the same child. I think the hair has a lot to do with it - the more they get, the less babylike they look.
i would have to agree that hair has a ton to do with it....after getting sophie's cut for the first time, she suddenly looked like a little girl...

btw, i like the new background...pink & brown are my 2 favorite colors together!
