This and That

First and foremost, thanks to all who commented with their condolences over the passing of my grandfather. It really means so much to know that our family was in the prayers of many over the past week. In my small hometown (population of roughly 8,000 in city, 20,000 in the county), over 1,000 people were present for my grandfather's visitation on Thursday night. I couldn't get over the throng of people who wanted to pay tribute to my Pappa - the line literally wrapped outside of the building! My Pappa was a great man, and it moved me deeply to see how many people he touched. He would have been tickled to have seen the turnout.

And life goes on...

Following Friday's funeral, the weekend was rather uneventful...that is, if you don't count the stomach flu as "eventful"! Ryan was struck with the 24 hour version of it on Friday morning. I thought I was going to miss it, but I became ill late Saturday night and was up the entire evening....repeat after me, YUCK. Due to the lack of sleep and the sickness, I spent a great deal of my day on Sunday trying to rest (and praying that Alexandra doesn't get struck by the stomach virus, too!). I woke up in time to watch the second half of the SEC Championship game and see my Kentucky Wildcats win the big game.

I was so happy to see them win, but left puzzled as to what exactly was in Ashley Judd's hair. Is it a pair of flowers? Some oversized ribbon? Either way, I was baffled.

Around 3pm, I moved my tired, sick body from the bedroom to the living room couch, where I remained parked for the rest of the night. I spent that time catching up on my DVR programs - last week's Biggest Loser, plus the past 4 weeks of The Good Wife.

I don't know why I had let so many episodes of this show build up on our DVR - I love the writing on this show (one of the few scripted shows I still watch). Have you seen it? If not, you should check it out because it is fantastic.

As I slept away most of the day, I stayed up a little longer and watched Twilight on Showtime AGAIN. A 12 step program should exist for this, I'm telling you. Oh, and in case you haven't seen this yet, the trailer has been released for Eclipse.

You're welcome!

I feel like Ashley Judd had the same white shirt and same random yellow hair flower on every day through the tournament. Did she ever change? or leave the arena? I'm a little concerned for her...I love her but really?

I was also trying to figure out what was in her hair, but then again I didn't care after that shot that Cousins made! I just l.o.v.e that man (yes more than the wall!) It was such a good game! I love how Ashley Judd is such a great fan!
I love "The Good Wife" too!
Whoa..and that movie trailer! I think I stopped watching it after that boy had his shirt off! hello! haha. I haven't been able to see the last movie yet, but I am dying too! Hope you have a wonderful week!

Glad you are feeling better. I generally spend my evenings a couple of times during the week catching up on things that I DVR, isn't that the best thing ever?!

Ashley Judd has that natural beauty. So pretty!

As for the Reese's Chocolate Egg, those are yummy too! I actually had plain old Reese's, the bag was in the shape of a carrot, last night. I've got to stop eating all this chocolate!!

OMGoodness. This is the first time I've seen the trailer for Eclipse. (Thanks) I love the Twilight saga. As do all of my girlfriends, our husbands call us Twi-tards, as coined by my husband.

Really sorry for your loss. I still think of papaw all the time even though he has been gone about 8 years. Much love to you and your family.

I think Ashley has buttercups (daffodils) in her hair. I think she is somewhat of a free spirit, no?

I will be watching the cats tomorrow with the rest of KY. Go C-A-T-S!!
