Is It Worth It?

So I have a little quandry...

I really want to go see this:

But if I truly want to see it, I'll have to endure this:

And the only way to truly survive such crazy, rabid, teenage girls full of angst is to take plenty of these:

And drink lots of this:

Something tells me that I should just avoid the mob scene and wait for this on Netflix...

LOL! You are right though. During New Moon I had to tell a group of tweens in front of me to STOP TEXTING during the movie. They had their phones out most of the time and seeing a cell phone screen illuminated in the theater is a NO NO!! I am with you!

Well, I went last night. Yes last night. But in Lexington it was not that bad. The theater I went to showed it on mnay screens. Not to mob like. It was REALLY good. I would say go! It was a little teentastic at the theater, but I did have some wine before to help with that! ha!
PS- I got my first blog award today. And I am passing it along to you! Please feel free to pick up your award over on my blog.

Too funny! I JUST climbed out from under a rock and watched the first 2 movies this week! I'm hooked! Got early tix for this Sat. It's the first show of the day, but wine and popcorn sound lovely! Ha!

Im waiting, but only because I hate to support Kristen Stewart anymore than absolutely necessary to see this movie because of what a jackass she's been while doing press for the movie, they just need to keep her behind the scenes...let me know how it is if you go!

Too funny! :)

So true! I might try to catch it on a matinee showing when the tweens are still in bed. Otherwise, it will be Netflix for me too.

HAHA you are too funny! I took my 11 yr old cousin to see the last 2 and both times I have to say it was NOT worth it. I loved the bonding experience (she's a pretty serious "Twi-Hard" so she loved it), but if not for that I'd say wait for the DVD. Craziness!

I say you do what I'm going to do, and go see it next week, during the week!!! How could you possibly wait until it comes out on Netflix?? I know I couldn't!

I am with ya girl! I am not sure I can handle the crowds!

ha ha!! You make me laugh!! I totally don't keep up with this stuff and feel like a loser cause all my friends are talking about it! Can't wait to hear what you do!

Just wait a week, and then the mania will calm down. I had tickets to see it in a special pre-showing but couldn't go because I couldn't find a sitter... they were all going too! :) I figure I'll go in a few days.

Glad you liked Modern Palm. I would love it if you could tell others about it. Heaven knows I'm going to need help spreading the word. xoxo

this post had me laughing out loud.

i loved the book---but the screaming tweens will make for some painful movie-going.

It was awesome you must see it!!
I went last night and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Other than the the girls squealing when Jacob came on the screen.

I'm dealing with the same dilemma! I am so excited to see it but refuse to fight the crowd and screaming preteens. I'm not sure I can wait for netflix so I'm considering doing a matinee in a few days when the excitement dies down

your post cracked me up. I saw New Moon in Lexington and it really was crazy, but we watched Eclipse last night in BG. It really wasn't a bad experience, no crazy screaming, didn't get hit by cars (almost happend in Lex), and really enjoyed the movie!

I'd go early though, we went at 6:40 and it wasn't bad.

Your second picture is not an accurate depiction because there are no middle-aged women present. I'm not sure you fit into the middle-aged woman category though so I guess you're a 'tween!

It has to be something REALLY good before I'll pay more than the dollar it takes to rent at redbox. I'm a wait and see kinda gal! {and cheap ;)}

I am in love with the Twilight series but would have to agree with you...I wouldn't want to deal with the crowds and will just plan to wait (plus...then I can enjoy Edward in the comfort of my own home..he-he ;))

girl you and me both. i'm gonna see it-- but i'm gonna go with some girls from the youth group, that reason i can always use them as my excuse :)

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! I decided to avoid opening week and just go next week. My friends who already went though said it's pretty funny to be in the theatre with a bunch of tweens who scream their heads off every time Taylor Lautner takes his shirt off. :)

hahaha I am so so happy I never got into the whole Twilight frenzy, I feel like I'd be a goner :) hehe enjoy your long weekend love! xo

I'm with you on waiting for NetFlix, where you can enjoy the wine with your feet up on your sofa! It's so rare that we go see a movie anymore b/c we've gotten so used to watching one in the comfort of our own home, with no distractions from people around us. Although, we really need to take the kids to see Toy Story 3 in the theatre. That could be fun.

haha! this is too funny :) Actually I went last night and it wasn't bad at all, not too many teenage girls suprisingly.

Too funny :) Maybe wait a few weeks, still enjoy your proposed preparation (at least the wine!), and grab a friend to go with...? That's what I plan on doing! ;)

I haven't read the book or seen the movie. Good luck with that.

I would love for you to put your email on your blogger account or google account so that I can reply to your comments.

I do miss Caden but I have enjoyed my quite time:) I will be watching for your sister tonight on Boston Medical.

i went to the midnight showing, it is sooooo good! I actually went and saw it for a second time tonight....haha I'm a big nerd! I had to listen to all the dumb 13 year olds scream through the whole thing on opening night...but tonight was better!! You should be good to go now. ; )

Definitely watch it!

i will totally see this but i'll definitely wait until the craziness dies down! and, since sean thinks that the dollar movie is only for poor people, i may be waiting to see it on netflix too! ha!
