Name That Tune

First off, thanks for all of the very kind comments to my Valentine's Day post! We know we have a very special little girl, but it is always nice to hear that from others, as well!

I am in serious need of some music suggestions. My best friend Christa is getting married this Saturday - I'm the maid of honor (actually, I think my official title is matron of honor but I like maid better, matron sounds old!). I have decided to make a CD of some of our favorite party songs from back when we were in college, as well as some current songs, to listen to as we get ready. We were at the University of Kentucky together in the mid 90s to 2000...that statement probably just made me seem ancient to some of you who read my blog.

Please comment with suggestions for my mixed tape...er, I mean CD. I know without a doubt that I am including "No Diggity" by Blackstreet (since that was played at EVERY frat party we attended in the fall of 1996), and I also think the fast version of "Let's Get Married" by Jagged Edge would be appropriate. I'm sure I'll throw some old school Michael Jackson ("PYT", for sure) into the mix. Other than that, I am in serious need of some suggestions!

Hmmm...late 90s...how about some Outkast "Rosa Parks", Third Eye Eye Blind "Semi-Charmed Life", Green Day, Matchbox 20, 2Pac "California Love", Montell Jordan "This is How We Do It", Notorious B.I.G. "Mo' Money Mo' Problems", {i was in a bit of a gansta rap phase in the late 90s}. I should probably stop before I embarass myself with my bad taste in music. :)

hypnotize, california love, mo' money mo' problems, anything by nelly, no diggity, gin and juice, nothin' but a g thang....anything by snoop dogg, humpty dance, it takes two, coolio:fantastic voyage, gangsta's paradise, jay z: hard knock life, big pimpin'.....that should be a good start!?

No Diggty was going to be my first suggestion too. It brings back memories every time I hear it on the radio! I'm pretty sure anyone who was in college during that year knows that song by heart.

Others: Ginuwine "My Pony", Paperboy "Ditty", Next "Too Close", Puffy "It's All About the Benjamins", Juvenile "Back That Thing Up", Nelly "Hot in Herre", Lil Jon "Get Low", Terror Squad "Lean Back", Outkast "Hey Ya". Seriously, I could probably go on forever but that's a good start!

Tell Krista congrats!
