Motherhood

It's a blessed moment when a woman becomes a mother - between Alexandra's birthday and Mother's Day, I've recently thought back alot to those days spent in the hospital for her birth. Those were joyous days, sleepless days, not-sure-what-the-hell-I'm-doing days - and I would repeat every one of them(including the four months of colic) to experience the pure joy I've had since seeing that little blue plus sign on the EPT test.

Happy Mother's Day to my beautiful, wonderful mother, my lovely grandmothers, and every exceptional woman who has been or will one day be blessed to take on the role of mother!

Come on now... Could you have been more gorgeous just after giving birth?! I hate when others set the bar so high;). No wonder your little girl is so precious!

What an unbelievably sweet picture and post! Absolutely precious. And how do you look that good and RESTED after just having a baby? I'm still exhausted by the whole experience and Nigels' 4!!

I hope you had a wonderful day! xo Marija

Colic? Can't even imagine! Alexandra obviously got over it, and seems like now, she's the sweetest thing ever. Great photo, and Happy Mother's Day to you too!

As everyone else has already said, seriously that picture is ridiculous. Couldn't you have taken one for the team and like smeared your mascara halfway down your face or something?! I should stop now, jealousy is not becoming.

It was great to see you guys this weekend! Wes adored your house/neighborhood and is now ready to move to L'ville (minus the Card fans). Looking forward to catching up in a couple of weeks!

What a sweet tribute to Mother's Day! My son was born right around Mother's Day, so it's always such a special time. Loved the pics from your daughter's b-day - she's such a cutie!

Love this post. Love the quote, "not-sure-what-in-the-hell-im-doing"...isn't that so how motherhood is sometimes. There are so many ruff days, but there are so many amazing days or moments that remind us why it is so wonderful.

Lovely - hope you had a good one!

And I was relieved to read above that this photo was taken the day after you gave birth. The only woman I've seen who looked even remotely that glamorous right after had a scheduled c-section, and even then I suspect she whipped out some blush & concealer in recovery!
